Welcome to Crawford Park Bowling Club
We are a small, friendly and enthusiastic club in Monkseaton, Whitley Bay that offers lawn bowls for ladies, men and families. The club was formed in 1954. The Green will is closed over winter and the new season will commence in April 2026.
Our club caters for all standards of bowlers. We have members who play socially and others competitively. Our green is open from dawn to dusk and we have informal social roll ups on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday mornings. We play matches against other local clubs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Thursday and Friday afternoons. We also have several club competitions during the season. All members have keys for the clubhouse, lockers and access to the green so you can come along anytime to play when matches are not on.
New members are always welcome. We have bowls available for you to try and have registered coaches to show you how to play. Visit the membership page for further details. Many congratulations to Liam Darling who in July 2025 won the Championship of Champions in Northumberland. The first time ever someone from our club has won this title - well done Liam!

The Sir James Knott Trust have awarded us a £1,000 grant towards our capital appeal - thank you.
Active North Tyneside have awarded us a £500 grant to deliver free bowling sessions.
The Monkseaton Councillors have award us a £600 grant to deliver family friendly bowling sessions.

We are delighted to announce that the club has received £20,000 towards our Capital Appeal to update our toilet facilities, install a new disabled toilet and ramp into the clubhouse from the National Lottery Community Fund.
We are hoping to star the alterations in Autumn 2025.
